The heavy-lift transportation voyage of MV Fanzhou 6 has recently come to a successful conclusion. Jiangsu Zheji Electromechanical Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of our group, took charge of all cargo loading and unloading operations. With sophisticated technologies and rich practical experience, the team overcame multiple on-site difficulties and completed all construction work with high standards.

This collaboration further expands Fanzhou’s layout across the entire heavy-lift transportation industrial chain, and once again demonstrates our comprehensive service strength featuring integrated shipping, cargo transportation and professional loading & unloading.
The vessel departed from Zhangjiagang and transported two ship unloaders (each weighing 1,220 tons) for Hangzhou Huaxin to Datang Power Plant in Chaozhou via traction ro-ro transportation. The operation was carried out under extremely harsh on-site conditions: the terminal elevation is 9.19 meters with a small tidal range, making conventional vessels ineligible for unloading operations. The terminal has limited bearing capacity and an available berthing length of only 220 meters, resulting in narrow working space. Combined with low water levels and high-altitude operations, the construction difficulty and safety risks were significantly increased.

Faced with these challenges, the team of Jiangsu Zheji worked out a special operation plan promptly to resolve problems one by one. To address the mismatch between the terminal and vessel specifications, field surveys and calculations were conducted, and 1.5-meter-high rails were installed on the vessel deck to adapt to on-site operating conditions. To make up for the insufficient bearing capacity of the terminal, customized and reconstructed extended rails were installed on site with optimized layouts to disperse cargo loads and offset hardware limitations.

During construction, the company strictly implemented safety management regulations and standardized high-altitude operation procedures. The team kept a close eye on tidal changes and seized optimal operation windows, completing all procedures including cargo loading, unloading and lashing safely and efficiently within the scheduled period.

Fanzhou has long been committed to extending service chains and providing one-stop solutions for heavy-lift transportation. As the core arm of the group specializing in electromechanical engineering and heavy cargo handling, Jiangsu Zheji’s successful delivery of this high-difficulty project fully proves its expertise in construction, emergency response and contract performance.
Moving forward, Fanzhou will continue to leverage the advantages of full industrial chain coordination. Supported by the professional capabilities of Jiangsu Zheji, we will further expand heavy cargo handling, electromechanical supporting and other businesses, providing clients with end-to-end services covering transportation and on-site operations to create a brighter future through joint efforts.
